Abbott blocked the House vote that was needed to release the Epstein files by deliberately leaving a congressional seat vacant.

When Rep. Turner died in March 2025, Abbott waited over a month to call a special election – then left the seat vacant for eight months while victims waited for justice. When the seat went to a run-off, he waited to set the special until it was clear it would not be the deciding vote. The petition to release the Epstein files sat one signature short of a majority while Abbott did Trump’s bidding by keeping the seat empty.

When the files finally dropped, they were full of Abbott's donors.

Trump, one of Abbott’s top supporters, appears 38,000+ times. Abbott took $100,000 from Peter Thiel, who appears 2,281 times in the files. David Koch, who has given Abbott $220,000, appeared in Epstein’s “little black book” – Abbott is a direct product of the Koch network. These aren't random donors – they're Abbott's benefactors, and he's been protecting them ever since, delaying the very process that would have brought all of this to light sooner.

Texas Republicans increasingly tied up in the files:

Don Huffines, a former Texas state senator and current comptroller candidate, bought Epstein’s Zorro Ranch for $18 million.

Now, Trump is in Texas ahead of the primary to thank Abbott for always doing his bidding. One thing is clear – Abbott will never put Texans first.
